I confess that I take bizarre delight in following the U.S. Presidential race. Every four years we get to hear both parties discuss the same old stuff:
- Constant talk about how much we need “change”
- Gloom and doom outlooks on the economy
- Endless discourse on taxes and who should pay what share
- Reminders of what a “scary world” it is out there
- The timeless question: are we better off today than we were 2, 4 or 8 years ago?
While I love to watch, I get tired just listening to all the talking heads and their various viewpoints. I grow weary of the constant whining about who is and isn’t “objective” in their coverage. My hearing begins to fail from the steady noise from the strategists, pollsters, and other “experts” whose opinions are suddenly of such importance.
It’s almost enough to make one pine for simpler times, back before the 24 hours news networks, bloggers and email fund raising. READ MORE HERE!!!
